Dear Senator Vitter:
As a leader in the American Public Works Association (APWA) and its Louisiana Chapter, I would like to request a meeting with you in Washington, DC at the earliest opportunity available. Joining me will be APWA's Executive Director Peter King. We wish to discuss how we can assist you in advancing your infrastructure priorities as a leader of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee.
We represent a diverse membership responsible for planning, designing, buuilding, operating and maintaining virtually every aspect of our public infrastructure in Louisiana and throughout the nation: transportation, drinking water, water treatment and refuse disposal systems, public buildings and other structures and facilities essential to daily life.
The year ahead presents many opportunities to build upon your many accomplisments as a leader and infrastructure advocate in the Senate, and we would like to talk about what we can do together going forward. Please have your staff contact APWA's Jim fahey at 202-218-6730 or jfahey@apwa.net to schedule the meeting.
We appreciate your support of our natipon's public infrastructure and look forward to meeting with you.
Thank you for considering this request.
Sincerely,
Shelby P. LaSalle, Jr.
